Three B-Mets To Play This Fall in Arizona

 Now that the 2008 season has concluded for the Binghamton Mets the hardwork and practice for the some are not over. At least three players who were on the B-Mets roster this season are headed to Arizona to play in the prestigious Arizona Fall League. Infielders Shawn Bowman and Dan Murphy will play for the Peoria Saguaros. They will be joined by pitchers Tobi Stoner, as well as, NY Mets Jason Vargas. Josh Thole, Catcher, for the St. Lucie team with also join his fellow Mets in Arizona.
The Arizona Fall League will begin its 17th season on October 7th. Each Major League organization provides the services of seven players for one of the six teams in the league; each Fall League squad has 35 players. The St. Louis Cardinals, Washington Nationals, San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox along with the NY Mets will fill out the Peoria Saguaros roster. Over 1,500 former Arizona Fall Leaguers have reached the Major League producing several prominent stars in the Majors over the years. The Arizona Fall League concludes on November 22nd.

Note: Binghamton Mets Trainer Joe Golia will join the team in Arizona; The NY Mets have yet to announce two additional pitchers for the Peoria Saguaros.
